Showup Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-10-14. Showup is published by Venture Deals, Co. ("we").

The short version

Your calendar stays on your iPhone. Showup reads it there to build your reminders. Our server gets the minimum it needs to phone you when you are about to miss a must-not-miss meeting, and it deletes that 24 hours after the meeting ends.

What stays on your iPhone

Event titles, attendees, notes and locations from every calendar on the iPhone, and from any Google account you connect directly in Showup.
Your current location. It is used only in the 3 hours before an in-person meeting, to work out when you need to leave (Apple Maps travel time), and only while you use the app.
Your contacts. They are used only to address a "running late" or "can't make it" message that you send yourself. Showup never sends a message for you.
Your reminder settings, tier choices and acknowledgements (Join, I'm here, Skip).

None of this is sent to us.

Google Calendar

With Showup Pro you can connect a Google account directly. Showup then asks Google, from your iPhone, for read-only access to your calendars (calendar.readonly) and for your account's email address, which names the account in Settings. Your iPhone downloads your calendar list and the events in the coming week straight from Google and keeps them on the iPhone, like the rest of your calendar. The Google sign-in token is kept in the iPhone's Keychain on that device only. Neither the token nor any Google data is ever sent to our server or to anyone else, and Showup never changes your Google Calendar.

Showup's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Disconnect an account in Settings → Calendars, which also revokes Showup's access at Google, or remove Showup at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

What our server receives

Who processes data for us

Twilio places the calls and sends the texts. It receives your phone number, the spoken label, and, if you press 1, the join link.
Apple provides Sign in with Apple, push notifications and App Store billing.
Google is contacted only by your iPhone, and only if you connect a Google account; we receive nothing from that connection.
DigitalOcean hosts our server and database in the United States.

We do not sell data, show ads, or use tracking or analytics SDKs.

Your choices

Turn calls off, turn all reminders off, or change any meeting's tier in the app.
Remove your phone number in Settings → Phone.
Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account. This deletes everything we hold about you right away and revokes Showup's Sign in with Apple access. Cancel the App Store subscription separately.
Disconnect a Google account, or turn off any of its calendars, in Settings → Calendars.
Calendar, location, notification, alarm and contacts access can be turned off at any time in the iPhone's Settings. Showup keeps working with less (for example, a notification instead of an alarm, or a 20-minute travel estimate instead of a live one).

Children

Showup is not directed to children under 13.
